  • New Membership Directory distributed
  • Committees and study groups begin meeting
  • Internships begin
  • District 4 meets
  • Approved budget printed in The Current
  • Branch sponsors table at Pride in the Park

October

  • YWCA La Crosse Tribute to Outstanding Women
  • Scholarship and Grants Committee (SGC) begins work
  • Recruitment campaign for new members

November

  • Self-Sufficiency Program Locally Grown Scholarship Breakfast
  • Scholarship applications sent to area educational institutions, posted on branch website

December

  • Nominating Committee begins recruiting officers for the following year
  • Art Fair on the Green revenue is finalized

January

  • NCCWSL scholarship information released
  • Name Grant nominations open
  • Joan Koonmen Memorial Scholarship nominees sought
  • La Crosse Community Foundation (LCF) notifies of funds available for scholarships
  • Art Fair Artists’ Chairs determine if past artists will return; a venue is selected
  • Internships for Spring Semester posted
  • District 4 meets

February

  • Recruitment continues for appointed board members
  • Slate of officers published in The Current
  • Board approves expenditures for grants and scholarships
  • SGC meets to select grant recipients and finalize scholarship review process
  • Volunteers for the Art Fair Committee recruited

March

  • General membership meeting with AAUW Winona Branch
  • International Women’s Day (March 8)
  • Women’s History Month activities
  • SGC’s scholarship recommendations reviewed by Independent Selection Committee;LCF notified of scholarship recipients
  • Membership recruitment continues

April

  • General membership meeting includes annual business meeting and announcement of grant recipients
  • AAUW-Wisconsin Conference
  • Jurying for new Art Fair artists

May

  • Scholarship Reception replaces general membership meeting
  • Solicitation of donations for Art Fair Scholarship Fund begins
  • Recruitment of non Art Fair Committee volunteers
  • Membership renewal for members joining before 9/1/2022*

June

  • No general membership meeting
  • BOD transition meeting
  • Branch sponsors table at Juneteenth National Independence Day (June 19)
  • Summer issue of newsletter published
  • Recruitment continues for non Art Fair Committee members to work at the Fair
